Here are a few of our frequently asked questions regarding Osteopathy appointments at Simply Osteo Clinic in East Grinstead:

How do I book an Osteopathy appointment?

You can book an appointment online through our website or by calling our virtual reception team on 07828 458 769 (calls are answered Monday-Friday 8am-7pm & Saturdays 9am-5pm).

What should I expect during my first appointment?

You will have a consultation to discuss your symptoms, medical history and lifestyle. This will be followed by an examination and initial treatment (if appropriate).

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You may be asked to remove some layers to allow for a proper assessment and treatment. (Please try and avoid jeans and racer back sports bras).

How long does an Osteopathy appointment last?

All Osteopathy appointments last approximately 40 minutes.​

How much does is cost?

£58 for 40 minute appointment with an associate Osteopath & £64 for a 40 minute appointment with Principle Osteopath. (1 hour Osteopathy appointments are available on request £82-£90)

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

Please bring any relevant medical reports, scan results, a list of current medications, and comfortable clothing (shorts) that allows easy movement. If you have a referral letter from your GP, feel free to bring it.

Will I receive treatment during my first appointment?

In most cases, YES! If it is safe and appropriate to do so, treatment will begin after the initial assessment.

Is Osteopathy safe for everyone?

Osteopathy is generally safe for most people (even children & expectant mothers). Your Osteopath will tailor treatment to your needs, considering any existing health conditions, age, and physical ability.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments varies depending on your condition and individual needs. Your Osteopath will discuss a personalised treatment plan with you after your initial assessment.

Can I claim Osteopathy treatment on my health insurance?

Many private health insurance providers cover Osteopathy. Please check with your insurer to confirm your coverage. We do not bill insurance companies directly, so payment is required at the time of your appointment. However, we are happy to provide a detailed receipt for you to submit for reimbursement.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur the full fee. To cancel or reschedule your appointment please call our reception team on 07828 458 769.

Will I feel sore after treatment?

Some mild soreness is normal and usually resolves within 24-48 hours. This is part of the body’s natural response to treatment.
