Simply Osteo - Associate Osteopath
Simona has been increasingly interested in the human body throughout her professional training as a classical ballet dancer since she was 12 years old. Having encountered plenty of injuries throughout her professional ballet training years and throughout competitive sport training prior to that, these led her to receive physiotherapy and, later on in life, osteopathic treatment.
Simona graduated from the University College of Osteopathy in 2019 where she was awarded a Masters in Osteopathy and she also holds a level 5 sports massage qualification.
Eager to eventually expand her treatment also to the much younger population, she is continuing her further studies into paediatric osteopathy.
As part of her degree, Simona has acquired the tools needed to deal with both chronic and acute injuries and she really enjoys treating a variety of people, from the office worker to the elderly, to people involved in sports.
In her clinical practice Simona is determined to do her best with every patient she sees, to uncover the main cause of their presenting complaint, aiming to work together to find the best tailored approach to assist and facilitate their inherent natural body healing ability.
Within her osteopathic treatments, she is able to combine a variety of approaches such as sport massage, stretching techniques, rehabilitation exercises and kinesio tape to relieve pain, muscular trigger points and restoring function, but everything always carefully tailored to your unique needs as a patient.
Simona is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (10333) and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
She is fluent in both English and Italian and also works as a Pilates instructor (including teaching pre- and postnatal pregnancy Pilates) and as a personal trainer, both of which work in synergy with osteopathy.
